2012 Words to Live By: Exhale

2012: the year that ends all years, according to the Mayans. Well, if there’s any truth in that, it seems that we’re all going to leave this life on a rather high note! This year already feels so electric! I can almost sense the excitement, determination and fizziness you’re sending through the blogosphere. Has it always been like this? I don’t think a New Years Eve has ever left me feeling so bold and ambitious and hungry for life like this last one.
And so with this new year, comes new thinking. Vision boards, affirmations, meditations, words to live by. It’s everywhere! It’s awesome! And, as with all things that culminate in nothing but the greater good, I am more than happy to jump on board.

I’ve chosen four words for my epic and groundbreaking 2012; one of those is exhale. I had originally chosen another couple of words but upon buckling down and giving it a lot of thought, I settled with three superior alternatives {which I will share with you soon}. But anyway, exhale; when I sat down with pen and paper to elaborate on why this word will be so important to me, this is what spilt out onto the pages…

Conscious
Decisions Streeeeetching Body + Spirit

Focus ///// STOP Focussing

.centre.
.grounded.
.humbled.
.release.
Slow Moving

flexible body . calm mind . compassionate thoughts

being surrounded and humbled by nature
huge mountains
vast lakes
the deep blue sea
terrifying waterfalls
a slow moving blizzard
sun kissed fields
canyons
wildlife

Breathe to be in the moment:
{Be in the moment}
OXYGEN
living, flourishing cells
gushing veins
bright eyes
CONSCIOUS MEDITATION

listening to rain drops… watching a flame dance

full lungs
empty lungs
This year, I will learn to breathe in the brilliant moments, in the fight or flight moments, in the shitty moments. I will teach both my body and spirit how to expand and flex. I will find my mind’s eye.

Awesome. :) I’ve been feeling a “fizziness” too, thinking that I’m just super excited about the things I’ve got on the go right now, but maybe there’s something in the air. :)
