I had a recipe post scheduled today. A delicious, nutrient dense green smoothie, ready and raring. All I had to do was press publish. But creative juices don’t always like to be stagnated by structure, so this morning’s scrumptious smoothie is going to have to wait…
Since returning to Australia and blogging full time- and particularly after I posted my vlog on Tuesday- the response I’ve received via email and Facebook has been staggering. People have been reaching out, and (sniff) letting me know that my words resonate with them, that they find inspiration here. I feel so touched. And the best part: I feel useful. Feeling useful is important to me, and it’s something that I’ve been actively manifesting. In fact, here’s a few affirmations that have been living on my wall for the past month:
I connect with like-minded people every day of my life, and those connections are growing.
My social media attract future precious friendships.
I only attract ideal people, situations and experiences in to my life.
I help people. I am of service, and I am useful.
I bow my head deeply to the Universe and surrender a quiet, humble and grateful ‘thank you’. Thank you for making me useful.
Women have emailed me in detail requesting affirmation advice and ‘How do you stay so positive?’, ‘How do I up my energy levels?’. Some just wanted their stories heard and others simply offered me a thank you. Bless your little heart.
For the last couple of days, I’ve felt like a full-time-email-responder, which had been wonderful, albeit a little time and energy consuming. A friend of mine suggested the idea of making a little cash. I instantly resisted it: Oh no, no! This is good practice for me’… But as I stood there, contemplating, watching the guys play pool, my energy moved from resistance to (I’ll be honest) excitement.
‘Fifty bucks a month. Unlimited email response, and maybe one half hour skype call thrown in there for good measure?’ I thought out loud.
‘Yeah’, he said. ‘Just enough to make it worth your time.’
So here’s the deal.
When I’m a certified coach, I’ll be charging premium- well over $100 an hour (how’s that for an affirmation?!)- but for now, while I ain’t certified, I know I can still provide a lot of value and insight. You can certainly expect a shiny new newsletter to pop up here in the near future, which will be 100% free for everyone, but I understand that some people’s favourite flavour is personalised.
It’s a win-win.
You receive a valuable service that is blanketed with love and support, and I receive support from you- of the financial type.
‘But $50 is nothing! Don’t under value yourself!’
I refuse to look at it this way. It may be considered spare change, the remuneration I’m asking for, for providing ongoing, unlimited email and the odd Skype response per month, but this time spent is an investment that I’m willing to make for my future business, and for your loyalty to this blog.
I’m excited. I hope you are too. Let’s collaborate.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
Disclaimer: I am not a certified coach yet, and these are the reasons why: I’ve been pre-occupied with self study, creating recipes, meditating, snowboarding, counseling friends and blogging. Money spent on becoming accredited has instead been spent on organic vegetables, super foods, books, online programs and traveling the world. I walk my talk, sweet potato.
I hand-on-heart swear that if I feel as though I can’t offer you guidance or sound advice, I’ll surrender your $$$ and I might even be able to point you to someone more qualified.
I have the time to respond. Rest assured- you will be answered, and fast. I promise that if the load becomes too heavy for me I will lovingly and honestly tell you when I will become available.
Interested? Good! Here’s my email: firstname.lastname@example.org Not sure whether I’m your gal? Check out my popular posts in the side bar and see what I’m all about.
Regardless, I’ll see you back here for some sexy smoothie action, and a really, really, really exciting BLISS list on Saturday.
All my love,
